The Bachelor of Health Science in Traditional Chinese Medicine provides graduates with a professional entry level for the practice of acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine. It aims to produce professional Chinese medicine practitioners with highly adaptable and practical clinical skills accompanied by a thorough grounding in theory.

As registered Chinese medicine practitioners, many graduates commence private practice in their own Chinese medicine clinic and also are in demand for interdisciplinary healthcare clinics. Opportunities exist in postgraduate research, healthcare policy development, and consultancy, providing links with government bodies such as the Therapeutic Goods Administration. Graduates are also employed as marketing or technical representatives for industries supplying and developing Chinese herbal-pharmaceutical products.
