Having 4 campuses and a technology park and with a beautifulscenery, the Universitycovers 213 hectares,owns facilities totaling 818 million RMB and books of 3.5 million volumes. Anhui University attaches great importance to international exchange and cooperation, it hasnowentered into agreements with 124 overseasacademicinstitutions. Since 1981, the University, one of the earliest universitiesauthorized by the Ministry of Education to enroll international students, began to acceptinternational students.In 2000, it began to acceptinternational students who enjoytheChinese government scholarship and was designated by Overseas Chinese Affairs Office under the State council the Teaching Base for Chinese Language and Culture.In 2014, it was recognized bytheMinistry of China as Demonstration Base of Foreign Students Education. In 2017, Anhui Universitypassed the Quality Certification of Study in China, becameone of the two universities of Anhui Province which passed the earliest the Certification.
Aiming at improving the education for international students, Anhui University set up the International Culture Exchange Center in 2000 and established theindependent School of International Education in January 2005.The School of International Education isan institution specializing in the education and management of international students. Until now, the number of international students enrolled at Anhui University totals more than 4000.
