After more than 60 year development, UIBE has already become a multidisciplinary university specialized in the fields of economics, management, liberal arts, science and law and competitive in the subjects such as international trade, law (international law), finance, business management and foreign languages (business languages). Nowadays, UIBE has established the cooperative relationship with over 200 famous universities and research institutions from more than 40 countries and regions like US, Canada, UK, Germany, France, Finland, Japan, Korea, Australia, New Zealand and Russia. Through the continuous international exchanges and cooperation, UIBE has strengthened its instinct characteristics of global education.
Among over 1500 staffs at UIBE, 780 are full-time teachers, and a certain amount of part-time teachers and foreign experts and scholars. UIBE has a total enrollment of more than 14,000 full-time schooling students including more than 3000 international students from over 120 countries and regions. UIBE is currently ranked No. 1 in China in terms of enrollment of international undergraduate students. At present, UIBE offers over 40 majors to overseas students of bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral study. Among them, more than 20 majors in economics, management and law are offered entirely in English. In the realm of international education, UIBE is the first Chinese university who established the complete degree education systems that include Bachelor’s, Master’s and Doctoral degree programs offered in Chinese or English, one of the earliest universities who established “Practice Base for International Students” and also the first University that established “Employment Guidance Center for International Students”.
UIBE provides kinds of scholarships like Chinese government scholarship, Beijing municipal government scholarship, and UIBE scholarship for international students, who have shown excellence in academic examinations, academic improvements, and public benefit activities and scientific researches.
