We were rated Excellence by the Chinese ministry of Education in the undergraduate education evaluation.
WTU is fruitful in scientific research. We are entrusted with some national research projects, like the National 973 Program, National 863 Plan for major science and technology, National Support Program, National Natural Science Foundation, and National Social Science Foundation of China. And a number of the achievements win the national or provincial research awards.
The university attaches great importance to international cooperation and has established cooperative ties with nearly 100 universities and research institutes across the world. The cooperation involves the exchange of faculty members and students, joint research projects, and joint application for international research projects and funds, etc. WTU is also home to nearly 600 long-term and short-term students from 70 countries and regions studying for bachelor’s degrees, master’s degrees, or studying the Chinese culture since 2008.
