Course Overview

The aim this program is to offer students with comprehensive and in-depth professional knowledge of Oil- Gas Storage and Transportation and equip them with theoretical knowledge and tools.

Upon completion of the program, students are expected to:

1. Develop a rigorous scientific approach and behave ethically.

2. Follow the latest information in the field of Oil- Gas Storage and Transportation all over the world.

3. Be able to solve problems in real practice and do professional technology work and research independently.

4. Be proficient in a foreign language and obtain the necessary competency in reading, writing and speaking.

Career prospects

Most of our graduates filled responsible positions relating to oil- gas storage and transportation engineering in petroleum institutions. Some graduates pursue further studies.

Oil-gas storage and transportation engineering master program was authorized by the Ministry of Education in May 2006. In order to meet the requirement of West-East natural gas transmission project, the exploitation of Pinghu oil-gas field of east China sea, and the development of Shanghai chemical industry park, implement the petroleum security policy and contribute to the petrochemical industry, the program is aiming at educating talents, who will meet the great need of the above projects. For the purpose of training more high-quality personnel for China's petrochemical industry in the new century, the specialty aims at cultivating talents who have all-round development morally, intellectually and physically with solid foundation, broad future employment chances and practical ability. The specialty is based on the old petroleum refining major, which had more than 40 years glorious history. Apart from inheriting the glorious traditions of the old petroleum refining major, we have also obtained the education experience from China University of Petroleum and other universities. Brilliant petrochemical characteristics and reasonable construction plans of the major have been established and gradually improved. It has a brilliant petrochemical characteristics compared with other universities.
