If you choose this field of study, you’ll gain the engineering and technical skills you need to assist engineers and others who produce and use industrial chemicals. In addition to an in-depth study of chemistry, you’ll take on engineering topics like fluid mechanics. You’ll also learn about manufacturing processes and chemical and environmental safety.
As a student of Chemical Engineering Technology, you'll focus your studies on analytical and instrumental chemistry; organic, industrial and polymer chemistry; metallurgy; ceramics; composites; and environmental analysis, health and chemistry, as well as a common first year of basic biology, chemistry and mathematics.
